How to Remove Crayon Stains
Crayons are wax-based with pigment. They require both wax removal and pigment removal — two separate steps.
Removal Methods by Surface

T-shirts, bed sheets, towels, tablecloths- •Ice cubes or freezer
- •Dull knife
- •Dish soap
- •Rubbing alcohol
- •Warm water
- 1Freeze the garment for 30 minutes to harden the wax.
- 2Scrape off as much hardened wax as possible with a dull knife.
- 3Apply rubbing alcohol to dissolve remaining wax/pigment. Blot with clean cloth.
- 4Apply dish soap directly and work in gently.
- 5Wash in the warmest water safe for the fabric.
Two steps are necessary: remove the wax carrier first, then address the pigment.
